Hi

Do you know which all papers are needed to change the load from 7KW to 5KW ? What will be the changes in fixed charges ? 7KW is 455/month so how about for 5KW or 4KW etc >

Is there any black money required to be given to office?

Hi Shobjit:
A standard one-tonne AC consumes 1.335kW/hour. So a 5KW connection would easily run two ACs. Since you are likely to use other high-Wattage equipment (toaster, iron, microwave) simultaneously, it might be better to go for a 7KW connection.

Time taken for connection: 2-3 weeks.
Black-money: I found the PVVNL officers very professional. Nobody asked for a bribe. The line-men who come to install the meters & cables are, of course, a different story! :(
